IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
No account needed! Simply add an item to your cart, where you will be prompted to complete all required information and checkout. You may now purchases classes for more than one child in the same transaction. Once you add the first item to your cart and complete the requested information, click "Add and continue shopping" in the lower left corner of the page. You will then be prompted to complete the information for the next child.

IMPORTANT: You must acknowledge acceptance of the following NCE waiver: I/We, the parents/guardians of the registered student, a minor, hereby consent to his/her participation in the Needham Community Education Program, the taking of photos of my/our child and/or promotion of the program, and to his/her use of the Needham Public Schools facilities and equipment.  I/We further agree to release and hold harmless the Town of Needham, Needham Public Schools and their employee­­­s, agents and assigns from any and all liability or expenses arising out of any incident involving, or any account of any injury to the above named minor in con­­­­nection with such program.  I/We further consent to emergency treatment by a physician in the event of injury to, or illness of our child during his/her participation in this program.  I/We accept full responsibility for all costs for any such emergency treatment.  I/We agree to abide by NCE policies.

Wait Lists: If you would like to add your child to a wait list for a full class, please email NCE Program Director, Carolyn Colonna, at: [email protected]. Include the class name, class location, your child’s name and your best daytime phone number. If a spot becomes available, you will be contacted right away.

Scholarship Assistance: Scholarship assistance is available. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch may take one class per session with NCE at a reduced price. Scholarship registrations cannot be taken online. Please email NCE Program Director, Carolyn Colonna, at: [email protected] or call teh NCE office at 781-455-0400 x5 for assistance.

NCE Elementary programs are open to all students. Are there special considerations we should know about so that your child will have a positive experience in the program? If so, please list them in the designated areas of the registration form. Note: NCE Elementary instructors and staff have no access to IEPs or 504 plans.

Registration policies: There are no refunds for withdrawals once a registration has been completed. There will be a $10 administrative fee assessed for all requested changes to original registrations. Registrations that include a materials kit cannot be changed once the materials kit has been picked up by the participant. Classes cancelled by NCE will be refunded in full. Refunds will be made by check from the Town of Needham and may take up to 3 weeks to arrive by mail.

Babysitting Lessons and Safety Training — single day workshop Instructor: AllenKingsley, Inc. staff member Wednesday February 24 4:30–6:30pm Grades: 5–8 Class Description: The  BLAST (Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training)  program provides training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. In addition, this course helps prepare children to interview for a babysitting job, select safe and suitable games and activities, prevent accidents, and begin babysitting safely and competently. Topics covered include: feeding, burping a baby, spoon-feeding, crying, and preparing for bed, behavioral problems, and discipline. Note: Some aspects of our two safety training classes overlap. Home Alone Safety focuses on learning to babysit yourself. Babysitting Safety focuses on learning to babysit other families' children. Materials Needed for this Class: Participants will receive a PDF packet of worksheets to be printed for this class. Students should have a notebook/paper and pencil/pen available for class. Links and Instructions: Zoom links and instructions for classes will be provided in a Welcome email from NCE THREE DAYS PRIOR to the start of class.
