Spring 2020 - Intro to Improv Comedy- Level 1

FEE: $96.00 LOCATION: FCTC Building C - Character Counts Conference Center  START DATE: March 31st -May 5th LENGTH: Tuesdays 6pm -8pm,  6 weeks  INSTRUCTOR: Christopher Schiavo Ever watch the comic performers on shows like “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” and wonder, “How are they so funny making up things on the spot?” Well, now you can learn how. In “Introduction to Improv Comedy” you learn the basic concepts and skills of successful improv comedy, including “Yes, And”, listening, emotional choices and the importance of character/ point of view. Unleash the funny performer in you, learn to think quickly on your feet, learn to trust yourself and your innate creative ability more, gain more confidence and comfort on stage, and improve your listening and observational skills…all while having an absolute blast while doing it! Christopher Schiavo has over ten years experience studying and performing improv comedy in Los Angeles, including at the renowned Groundlings Comedy Theatre, training ground to such comic performers as Will Ferrell, Phil Hartman, and Melissa McCarthy. Chris also performed in a long-form improv group alongside Eric Stonestreet, star of TV’s “Modern Family”. HVAC Electrical and Diagnostics - Winter 2020

FEE: $300.00 DATES: Starts March 24, 2020 thru April 30, 2020 TIME: 5pm-8pm Tuesdays & Thursdays evenings LOCATION: Building F - Room 203 HOURS: 36 Total The class would consist of the following:  Methods to measure watts, resistance, voltage, and amperage.  Explain codes, standards for safety, and requirements when working with the electrical components. Identify and explain the functions of various types of motors and components. Test, size, and replace protection devices such as fuses and breakers, motor starters, and overloads. Troubleshoot, test, and analyze electrical motors.  Explain the principles and functions of Direct Digital Control (DDC).  Identify, test and replace circuits and boards.
