Pick Up Locations and Procedures (You must be prepared to present your ID and/or your Vehicle Tag.)

Carline on the San Felipe Parking Lot begins at 3:30 and it is set up for students registered in any component of Ext Day (Full Time Plus; Full Time; Half time; Occasional) and a combo of Extended Day and Enrichment Classes.

Avalon Pick Up at the Sibling/Walker Door Procedures

This pick up location is set up for students registered ONLY in Enrichment Classes that end at 4:30. (NOT the pickup location for anyone registered in any component of Extended Day, including Occasional.)

Extended Day and Enrichment:

All Extended Day Options (Full Time Plus, Full Time, Half Time, Occasional) are closed. We are full to capacity. For all currently registered in any Extended Day Services (Full Time Plus, Full Time, Half Time and Occasional) continue until the last day of school, Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Remember to submit payment for January 2024 Extended Day by December 15. Also, you are assessed a Spring 2024 Supply Fee for Extended Day. Be sure to purchase this at the time you purchase extended day for January 2024. Failure to pay will forfeit any Spring 2024 Enrichment Class registration you may submit during the month of December.

Spring Enrichment Classes begin Monday, January 22 and end Friday, May 24.

Registration ONLY for Roadrunner’s Nest Spring 2024 Enrichment Classes begins Monday, December 4 and ends Friday, January 12 via schoolpay. We are not accepting any new registrations for any component of Extended Day (Full Time Plus, Full Time, Half Time, OR Occasional Ext Day.) For anyone who registered for Bridge in Fall 2023, note this will not be extended for Spring 2024.

For all currently registered, be sure you have a zero balance on your current account before you register for new classes.

Enrichment Classes (Registration is on a first come first serve basis.):

Registration for Spring 2024 Enrichment Classes will run from Monday, December 4 - Friday, January 12. Also, the final deadline to add or drop is Friday, February 2. After February 2 there are no refunds should you decide to drop after February 2. You must email us should you wish to drop a class by Friday, February 2. Your email is the official notice you are withdrawing. You will be charged only for the day(s) your child attends any class. After February 2 there are no refunds or prorations.

Upon successfully making your purchases, you will receive an email from schoolpay confirming your purchases. The email confirmation is proof you did successfully make your purchases and that your child has a spot in the program. Roadrunner's Nest does not send you any emails confirming your purchases. Thus, be sure to note schoolpay's confirmation via email sent to you. Your payment for any items immediately is your confirmation you have successfully registered.

Withdrawing from Extended Day

If you wish to withdraw at any time, you must request in writing to be withdrawn from the program. You will not be charged for the next month from the date you withdraw from Full Time Plus/Full Time/Half Time/Occasional. However, as stated above, after February 2, all Enrichment Classes are nonrefundable. Thank you.

2. Registration Fees (only for 1st time Registrants):

4. For all currently registered in Full Time Plus, Full Time, Half Time, Occ Extended Day, be sure to purchase the Spring 2024 Supply Fee of $50.00 for Extended Day.

NOTE: I have read the information posted on this page and on the ROERN Webpage: https://www.houstonisd.org/domain/47746 and understand and agree to all items listed, as well as any updated information, including that I may be asked to present a valid form of ID which includes my name and picture. (Driver's License, Texas ID, etc) at the time of pick up. Be sure you also have your Vehicle Tag provided to you by the school.

Snacks: We highly encourage you to pack snacks for your children. Although HISD offers a daily snack, your child may not want it. Also, note snacks are never shared amongst students.

Remember, Roadrunner's Nest is held only on days school is in session. The schedule for Extended Day on a daily basis includes Snack Time, Homework Supervision, Indoor/Outdoor Activities. Be prepared to present your ID and car tag upon request by the ROE RN Staff. (All Staff are HISD Employees.)

Roadrunner's Nest Extended Day is staffed by HISD Employees and Enrichment Classes are offered by HISD Approved Vendors.

Registration for all items is on a first come first serve basis. There are no waitlists for any Enrichment Classes. Once a class fills, registration is closed. No exceptions.

Mandatory and must fill out the registration form before purchasing any item. Note all info below required to be adhered to by all registrants: I understand upon submitting my registrations and all payments via schoolpay, I acknowledge this agreement, as well as all information listed on the ROE RN Webpage located on the school website. By signing below, I understand the contents of this registration guide is for the school year 2023-2024. I understand that all ASP Staff are HISD Employees. All safety procedures are set by HISD and I will adhere to them. Disregard of this contract agreement and/or contents in the registration packet will result in immediate dismissal from River Oaks Elementary Roadrunner’s Nest. TIMELINES: I have read all info listed on the ROE RN Webpage found on the school website, all info on schoolpay and understand all important dates/times, including registration dates and payment due dates. I also note I’ve read the payment info posted on schoolpay. PAYMENTS: (Please initial each item below on the line) ___All payments are submitted via schoolpay.com. Payments for Ext Day (Full/ Half) are set up monthly. Supply Fees are due in full at the time of registration; Occasional Ext Day are due in Full at the time of registration/purchase. ____I will be assessed a late fee of $10.00 each time I do not pay my bill by the due dates. ____I understand that at the time of Registration I must have a -0- balance for all previous semesters. I understand that after school services may be suspended if I do not pay my bill on time. Accounts with outstanding balances will be assessed a $25.00 Rollover Fee to the next semester and/or school ear. 3. ADD/DROP: If you withdraw at any given time and wish to be reinstated, there will be a $25.00 reinstatement fee. 4. PRORATION: NO prorations/refunds OR credits will be assessed in the event of any HISD cancellation regarding after-school activities due to inclement weather. 5. OCCASIONAL DAYS: If I purchase sets of Occasional Days I understand the full amount for each set is due at the time I sign up or when I purchase additional units. If I purchase Occasional Ext Day and all units are used, another 5-Unit Occasional Card will be automatically billed to my account. 6. LATE PICK UP: I understand that I must pick up my child by 6:30 PM if enrolled in Full Time Plus; 6:00 PM if enrolled in Full Time or 5:15 PM if enrolled in Half Time. If my child is picked up after 6:30PM I will be assessed a late fee of $2.00/minute. When I am late picking up my child from Half Time or Full Time I will automatically be issued a 5 Unit Occasional Card which will provide supervision until 6:30 PM. One Unit from this card will be used for the late pick up and I will have 4 Units remaining. After the 5th late pick-up I may be asked to make other arrangements for After School Child Care. The official time for our after school program will be gauged by the clock located in Pick UP Location in the school. Please Note: If late pick-up fees are not paid within 24 hours, the fee is automatically doubled. (schoolpay is method of payment) 7.CHANGES IN HOW A STUDENT GETS HOME: I MUST notify the ASP Coordinator in writing (phone calls or fax not accepted) via email to: [email protected] AND [email protected] before the “cut off time” of 11:00 for ANY changes in how my child gets home. Without written permission, my child will not be permitted to leave. 8.SIGNING CHILDREN OUT: All individuals authorized to pick up my child must sign my child out from the after school program at the time of pick-up. Failure to sign out the student out from the school office will be regarded as an “Incident” and may result in suspension from the program for the remaining school year. ONLY adults 18 years or over authorized to pick up children. SHOWING PHOTO ID IS MANDATORY UPON REQUEST. 9.BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS: The HISD Code of Student Conduct will serve as the basis for all discipline expectations to ensure the safety of all students and staff members. Parents will be notified immediately if their child has violated any portion of the school’s previously communicated Code of Student Conduct. Services will be suspended should disrespectful or unsafe behavior be directed towards a student or staff member, either by a parent of a student or a student enrolled in the program. I understand that it is my responsibility for reading and knowing the expectations of the HISD Code of Conduct. I also understand that the program reserves the right to deny services on a permanent basis if behavior expectations are not being met. 10.TECHNOLOGY DEVICES: No technology devices may be used in the After School Program by any student in any grade level. All such devices must be kept in the student’s backpack. All information published in this registration packet applies to this contract. In addition, understand and agree to adhere to any guidelines amended to this contract and that I will be notified in writing by the after school program. I understand that enrolling in the After School Program does not include any other programs offered by the school (i.e. tutoring, clubs, etc.) and that ROE Elementary Roadrunner’s Nest is only responsible for services listed in this packet. If I do sign up my child in a school program and wish for a school staff member or the adult sponsor of a school related class (i.e. tutoring, clubs, etc to pick up my child from the ASP, I must list the names of adults on the Authorization Form authorizing them to pick up my child from the ASP. I understand my child will not automatically be sent to any activity not related to ASP. 11.MEDIA PERMISSION: I authorize River Oaks Elementary Roadrunner’s Nest to include my child in photographs used for publicity. ____YES ____NO 12.I understand this agreement may be updated at anytime by the school administration and it is my responsibility to read all updates the school lists on the school website, ROE RN’s webpage and schoolpay.

In this first formal Spanish language course, your child will enjoy learning vocabulary and practicing conversations with the teacher and between students. We will play and learn about greetings, courtesy words, personal information, school things, colors, numbers, notions like up-down, inside-outside, etc., days of the week, weather, family, face and body parts, food, likes and dislikes and more. “Spanish for Life” is so much fun your child will really enjoy this first step in learning the language.
