Please consider donating to bring a RAKU firing experience to Ceramic students!

We are excited to offer RAKU for Ceramic students in May. Specialized clay, glazing, and firing are all part of this process, which combines Art and Chemistry! Students create pieces ahead of time and then in the firing process pieces are removed red hot and treated in one of three ways for results ranging from deep metallic colors, crackle finishes, and burning hair or feathers on the hot surfaces.

To offer this, we bring in Eric from Seattle Pottery Supply for the workshop, and it comes with a cost. We already have a small grant of $200 to cover part of the cost but need to raise $550 more!
