Drive Smart is a driving course taught by SDOC School Resource Officers, that all students must take prior to driving or parking on SDOC campuses.  This four-hour course will be taught at each of our high schools and is designed to help teens gain the knowledge to drive defensively.  The Drive Smart course will take the place of the requirement for Alive at 25 but Alive at 25 completion is also acceptable.  The cost is $25.  Funds will be used for class materials, instructor salary, and parking lot maintenance on our campuses.  Class begins at 8:00 AM; there is no late admittance.   

In addition to this course, students will need to purchase a parking pass from their school.  HCC issues its own parking passes for students who choose to drive.
