~~Dear Parent / Guardian On Friday, May 12, 2017 the eighth grade students at Robinswood Middle School will be taking a field trip to Gradventures (Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios) in Orlando, Florida. Gradventures is a fun night in the park reserved just for eighth graders.  The event provides a multitude of things for students to do in a fun and safe environment. There are Dance Zones, Street Entertainment, and Special Activities all night long, plus all the great rides at both parks.  Before they make the transition to high school, let’s celebrate!!

We will be leaving school at 4:00 p.m. and returning at 12:00 a.m.  The cost is $90.00 per student.  The cost covers transportation, admission to both parks, one meal ticket in the park, and a special t-shirt designed just for the event (t-shirts run big, they are adult sizing). Parents must make arrangements to pick up their child from RMS promptly at
12:00 am (please consider car-pooling to cut down on traffic).  All students are expected to follow OCPS Student Code of Conduct, behavior guidelines set forth in the 8th Grade Behavior Contract (see attached) and Robinswood’s  dress code (hats, flip-flops, & sunglasses are fine- but all attendees must wear the event t-shirt).

All payments are due online by Friday, March 15, 2017.   Please fill out the permission slip below and the attached 8th grade Behavior Contract and return all forms to Mrs. Bickerstaff in room 207.  Please go to the Robinswood Middle School website and look for the 8th grade information link to make your payment online.   Please be advised no student or chaperone refunds will be given after March 15, 2017.

Also, if you are interested in chaperoning, indicate below.  We can’t do this trip without chaperones, so please consider it.  Please be aware that chaperones will need to pay the full amount which includes a meal ticket and a t-shirt to be worn during the event. 
Things to Remember: March 15, 2017.  We will be leaving school at 4:00 to arrive at the park at 5:00.
• Pick up time from Robinswood: 12:00 a.m. (parent responsibility).  Please consider car-pooling.
• Cost:  $90.00.  Go to the Robinswood website, and click on 8th grade information to pay online.
• Return all signed forms to Mrs. Bickerstaff room 207
• Finals payments due by March 15, 2017.
No refunds will be given after March 15, 2017
